We Help the Community, We Help One Another

I was in the Community Service Commission office today typing some things up for the upcoming Saturday site visit. Two tutors from Watts Tutorial were working at the computer next to me. They were going over teaching techniques online and had a pile of books next to them. It takes a lot of responsibility to tutor a child, so it was inspiring to see them using as many resources as they could get their hands on!

While we were working, another tutor from Project BRITE came in. She needed to contact the transportation director about van costs but the director wasn't in. The Watt's tutor next to me quickly started typing online to find her contact info. I reached into my bag and pulled out my phone with the director's number. This all happened within a 10 seconds! The tutor from BRITE was very grateful.

Not 15 minutes later, another tutor from CSC couldn't get the copy machine to work so one of the Watts tutors stopped what she was doing and they worked on it together.

Did I mention we were all in the office during lunch time?

Even though we're each from different groups, we can still help one another help others!
