Wrong Number, Right Message

Usually I don't answer phone calls from numbers I don't recognize - - but today I took a chance.

I said, "Hello!" in a cheerful voice. There was a pause.

"I think I have the wrong number...I am trying to call(xxx)xxx-xx65," a woman's voice replied carefully. She sounded like she could be elderly.

"Oh!" I replied. "This number is xx56!" I said a quick "Goodbye!" expecting her to hang up but again, she paused.

"I hope...you have a great life. A great life." It caught me off guard. That was so sweet of her to say!

I thought of all the chance encounters that we have with strangers. We have the opportunity to leave them happier, leave them as we found them, or leave them worse off. Why not take advantage of our accidental "clashes" to spread a little love!
