Kind Motorists: Isn't This Only In Movies?

You only hear about this stuff happening to other people...

My friend Annie and I had just left the Sheraton Hotel after a wonderful night at the Intercollegiate Taiwanese American Student Association's conference banquet. We got into her car and then drove over to pay for our parking. There were to stations where you could pay but it appeared as though the attendant had walked from one station to another just as we were pulling up to the first station. A car blocked us in from behind so we were unable to move.

Annie tried to get the attendant's attention, but at 1:30 in the morning, I think he was out of it. It didn't look like he would move stations. Instead, he came out and motioned for the car behind us to back out. So much effort so he wouldn't have to walk, right?

Anyway, by this time we were slightly irked at the attendant but guess what. The nice person who had been boxing us in - he paid for our parking ticket!

Forget the cranky attendant, all I could think about was how kind the other person was to us.

That made my day!
